Shameless Self Promotion
June 10, 2010
Things are shaping up nicely on the work front, hence the dearth of posts.
Headed to LA to film a season of Showtime’s Dexter (what’s a good word to describe audible giddiness?), then back to NY to reunite with the theater company that gave me my first job (and $100 paycheck, I believe I have it in storage somewhere).
Not allowed to say anything about what will happen on Dexter, (wooo ha ha ha ha, sinister thumb twiddle).
As for this fall, I’ve always wanted to perform at BAM’s Harvey theater. More info.
C’mon feet, don’t fail me now!

Damn, now I have to order showtime!!
All I can say is WOO HOO. Saw the update the other day on the Dexter facebook. One of my favorite shows with one of my favorite actresses = pure win.
Other than the typical congratulations, I have to say:
Hurry up!
I’m dying to see the new season because season 2 had such an amazing ending.
Read about this yesterday…not sure which possibility I’m more excited about; you as Dexter’s new lady friend or cold-blooded killer.
Fingers crossed for the latter…
Dexter- nice one!
EEEEEEK! (audible giddiness word brought to you by my six year old niece)
You’re on FIRE!!! Congrats on all fronts! You feet are so gonna rock it!
Pa’lante. Siempre, Pa’lante!
PS. DUUUUUDE!…It just hit me… YOU’RE GONNA BE ON DEXTER AND BAM!!!(Brooklyn in da’ hizzie!) EEEEEEK!
Of course, I meant “your feet”, not “you feet”. I hope you find it in your heart to make all appropriate correction before it goes to press!(Assuming it does eventually go to press, of course.)
Dexter is my favourite show, and I too picked up the rumour that the lovely Julia Stiles would make an appearance next season. Came in here to check, and it’s nice to see that the rumour has truth to it. Can’t wait.
Oh, and you’ll do a smashing job, I’m sure
Crap. I also am without Showtime……
I’m definitely looking forward to the new season! Even more, now that you’re in it. Since you say you’re filming a “season” I have to assume this is a main or recurring role? If so, that is truly badass!
Hey, Julia,
Congrats on the new acting gigs! Too bad, though, you’re not doing Persephone somewhere on the West Coast. Aw, well…
Just rented “The Cry of the Owl”. The ending caught me by surprise ’cause I expected someone else to die by Robert’s hands!
But, what this enquiring mind wants to know is,
Did Jenny enjoy her last blueberry pancake?
any hints? naughty or nice? break a leg :0
When I first heard the murmurs that you might be joining the upcoming season of Dexter I nearly flipped. Now that it’s been confirmed I’m looking forward to Season 5 even more than I had been (and I thought that was impossible).
Good luck and can’t wait to see you on my tv once again.
I’ve decided that the Mets can have Lady Gaga…
I believe ‘chortle’ is the word you’re looking for. Good on ya!
Julia, when can we see you doing Shakespeare in the Park again? There hasn’t been anything good in the Delacorte since Twelfth Night and this year the only high profile name is Al Pacino.
I realize you may want to limit yourself from doing Shakespearean work… but cmon, you’re so damn good at it!
Dexter is one of the best shows out there (for those who can get past the gore). The storylines, the writing and the acting is phenomenal. You will make a great addition to the show!
Good luck on Dexter! I literally just started watching it for the first time this week and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it.
BAM’s Harvey Theater. As you said, “That shit is so Brooklyn.”
That C-note, you should frame it.
Not quite on topic, but such a cool video. I thought you might appreciate. 350,000 hits and counting! And, best of all, you made the cut, twice!!! @2:27 and 4:27. Enjoy.
