This quote could be added into the song...

"You better live every day like your last because one day you're going to be right." Ray Charles

Of course I like this one better.

"I was born with music inside me. That's the only explanation I know of, since none of my relatives could sing or play an instrument. Music was one of my parts. Like my ribs, my kidneys, my liver, my heart. Like my blood. It was a force already within me when I arrived on the scene. It was a necessity for me — like food or water." Ray Charles

A little off the music topic, but along the lines staying in fair territory. Kurt also said,

"I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center."

Kurt knew that one day it will all come to end, but live everyday as if it were your last and you will live forever. This is an oxymoron, but make sense, right?

I love the animated sketches or paintings in the video. I wonder if someone in the band painted or drew those? The music almost sounds like a soundtrack for the visuals, the atmosphere is very reminiscent of an old 16mm experimental art film.

Muse Sick = Keep warm, don't catch a cold. NY is coooolllddd these days.

Here's a little bit about the band from Penn himself. Not so much country as off beat folk.
Kinda cool, Good for kickin back after a long hard day at work.

Doggie Hi Yippie "Boy meets girl. The setting: Rhode Island School of Design. Enter Penn Sultan and Abigail Noyes, the artists. The duo discovered that, in joining forces, they could create the most folk-tastic music on this side of the Milky Way. Penn’s howling raspy voice perfectly compliments Abi’s beautiful songbird vocals. Combine that with some mean, green, fighting machine, gun slinging, wing dinging, guitar picking and voila! We can’t compare Doggie Hi Yippie to any bands in the scene these days; they’ve got a sound all their own. So if you’re looking for something quirky, different, and downright impressive, Doggie Hi! Yippie is for you!" -Taste Makers Music Magazine. toot'n'mah'horn. Last Good Tooth- Is Doggie hi! Yippie, I little beaten up and a little abandoned. "What's in a name? Last Good Tooth can't answer that, but there's a little Tom Waits in there if you're interested. I'm full of guesses as to what the name Last Good Tooth could mean. Is it referring to one final intact tooth or is it rather an exclamation pleading a canine to stay put? If the band's previous name is any indication (Doggie Hi! Yippie) we should probably just leave it alone. In any case, this Providence-based band has been steadily amassing some excellent new tracks including the stellar subdued folk ballad "Take 'Em." I recall a Splice reader asking for some more "sounds like Tom Waits," well sir, let me introduce you to Penn Sultan." -splicetoday.com more tooten.
